Government wants to force your children into dangerous and failed schools. Government educators are going to court against parents who refuse to bow down to government.
Is it for the children? Is it to create a quality education environment, a better future for the kids? Don't laugh; finally government school officials are honest. Here is the FIRST response:
"Truancy damages schools in a number of ways, said Troy Flint, a spokesman for the Oakland Unified School District. Lower attendance means less money for the schools. If the district were to increase its 94.5 percent attendance rate to the statewide average of 95.5 percent that would mean an estimated $1.4 million more in state funding."
Then they say, "'They can't learn'"
The government refuses to note that the drop out rate is approximately 50%, that crime is rampant in the schools. That the same folks who demand parents go to court for not allowing their children to go to failed schools are the same officials who refuse to create charter schools and refuse to create vouchers so children can get an education--not a government sponsored propaganda session.
The parents need to provide a defense for their actions--that in many cases there children are better off not wasting the time of teachers, that government education, by definition in many cases, is a failure.
