Unions hold taxpayers and government hostage--either give in to them or they shut you down. In La Habra the teachers unions has closed the schools because the union demanded a pay raise--don't ask where the money will come from, just give them the money--doesn't matter the money does not exist.
In Santa Barbara the union is forcing mediation. If that fails, they will close down the government transportation "service". That would be GREAT.
Close the system and the workers no longer have to pay bribes to work.
The taxpayers will save hundreds of thousands each year.
Private firms, cheaper, will provide the needed services AND pay taxes on the profits!
That would be a win-win for everybody, except those that act like organized crime.
