Government Nanny State supporters in Los Angeles County have outlawed plastic grocery bags--for the environment. Of course they left out the fact that "reusable"
"On Tuesday the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to ban plastic grocery bags in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. While this is a clear victory for environmentalists, consumers should beware of lead and bacteria in reusable grocery bags.
The New York Times reports that some types of synthetic, reusable grocery bags were found to contain lead.
None of the bags are known to contain a threat to public safety at this point in time. There is concern about paint from the bags flaking into food or seeping into groundwater over the long term."
When the phony choice is between saving the environment and saving people, the Left always kills off the people.
