1. Government 'crowding out' private loans, Chris Woodward - OneNewsNow - 11/10/2010
The government is in competition with private business for money and loans. Government will always win--they have the guns--regulators--that can investigate anything--except themselves.
"A chief economist with CNBC is blaming the government for the fact that banks are approving so few private loans.
Economist Jerry Bowyer says the low lending rate may be the result of a number of factors: "Banks aren't lending money because the government is discouraging them from lending money, because the regulatory environment is now so hostile that banks are keeping far more money than they would normally need as a capital cushion, and because we're in an environment where banks aren't really sure they're going to be paid back," he explains."
2. Massive Voting Fraud Reported in Massachusetts, Pajamas Media, 11/09/10
"Community organizing group Neighbor to Neighbor was seen violating laws at numerous polling sites, with the apparent blessing of the poll-watchers."
Want to find electoral corruption--find ACORN, SEIU and/or the Democrats.
"Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts is a progressive organization of working class, multi-racial, and multi-ethnic people working together to build political and economic power to improve the quality of lives in our communities. As members, we lead the change ourselves through education & training, issue & electoral organizing, policy advocacy, alliance building, community-controlled economic development, and holding decision-makers accountable.
We seek to create a powerful movement for economic and social justice that builds a participatory and responsive democracy to transform people’s lives and the political and economic structures that impact them."
3. Examiner Editorial: Federal pay hike? Let's start with a freeze, then cut 10 percent, Washington Examiner, 11/10/10
Washington is a tone deaf place--or they have not read the election results.
"Democrats are already talking about using the upcoming lame-duck legislation to grant the federal work force yet another pay increase, this time of 1.4 percent. Never mind that federal pay has increased 3 percent annually since 2005. Never mind that inflation has been nonexistent during that period, or that total compensation for federal bureaucrats has increased nearly four times faster than in the private sector
National Treasury Employees Union President Colleen Kelley told USA Today that the pay increase "is a modest amount and should be implemented" so the federal work force can stay competitive in the job market. But in many occupational categories, average federal compensation is double that of the private sector. Moreover, federal union representatives have some nerve demanding pay increases to "stay competitive" when unemployment stands at 9.6 percent. As for being "competitive," the government is the nation's largest employer.
Maybe government work should not be competitive--we can no longer afford incompetence at such a high price.
4. Fiscal Commission Calls for Elimination of Safe Schools Czars Office, Fred Lucas, CNSNEWS.com, 11/11/10
Why does the Federal government have a radical as a "safe schools czar"? Why do we need one at all? Want a safe government school? Keep out the weapons, stop the bullying and stop forcing teachers to pay bribes to work--that would be a safe school. How much does this agency cost? $1.8 billion per YEAR. For what?
"“In the President’s budget, funding for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools is more than double the allocation from 2008,” says the draft report, released on Wednesday. “This option eliminates the office, saving about $1.8 billion in 2015. While school safety should be protected, violence and drug abuse are problems that occur far less on school grounds than elsewhere.”
5. Cut U.N. Funding, Obama’s Fiscal Commission Says in Draft Report, By Fred Lucas, CNSNEWS, 11/11/10
The United Nation continues to denounce Israel and support terrorists. It is an organization that gave Saddam Hussein billions. The UN "peacekeepers in 1961 massacred a family in the Congo--no apologies. It is investigating our elections while forgetting about Cuba, China, etc. We should make the UN an affordable housing condo and send the UN to Havana.
"Cutting “voluntary” funding from the United Nations would trim $300 million off the federal deficit by 2015, according to a draft report from the president’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
“According to the Office of Management and Budget, the United States provided over $6.3 billion in taxpayer funds to the United Nations in FY2009. Less than half ($2.7 billion) of that total went to ‘assessed’ dues -- payments that the United States is charged for being a member and for its share of peacekeeping operations around the world,” the draft report says."

Saw this last night at the monthly meeting of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County. Jane Barnett chairs the group and is a tremendous leader!
