PLEASE PASS THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS--LET THEM KNOW MORE ABOUT POLITICS AND PUBLIC POLICY THE FORMER MAINSTREAM MEDIA WON'T TELL. THANKS
1. Rep. Moran: Serving in the military isn’t public service, By: Barbara Hollingsworth, Washington Examiner, 10/21/10
Democrats have very little respect for the military. Democrat Congressman James Moran, who likes fistfights and obscene language, is a great example of a National Democrat.
"Virginia Congressman Jim Moran, D-8th, doesn’t think serving in the military is public service. At the October 6th meeting of the Arlington County Democratic Committee, Moran was videotaped telling fellow party members:
“What [Republicans] do is find candidates, usually stealth candidates, that haven’t been in office, haven’t served or performed in any kind of public service. My opponent is typical, frankly.”
However, Moran’s opponent happens to be Col. Patrick Murray (US Army-Ret.), who served 24 years in uniform, was deployed to four different combat zones, including Baghdad, as part of the 2007 troop surge under Gen. David Petraeus, and was even shot at by foreign combatants. If that isn’t public service, I don’t know what is."
2. Numbers waiting months for cancer tests have doubled since NHS targets scrapped, Telegraph.uk, 10/21/10
Want to see your health care future, look to England--a place Barack truly admires. "The number of patients waiting months for tests to detect cancer and other killer diseases has almost doubled since NHS waiting targets were scrapped, according to the Government's own figures."
Death panels are being put into place. Shortly we will have lines for health care as long as lines for a rock star concert tickets.
3. Government to propose truck fuel efficiency rules, MSNBC, 10/22/10
Now Obama and friends are going after trucks and SUV's--by the end of this decade we will begin to look like the streets of Havana--very old American cars and trucks on the roads.
BO wants to create truck fuel rules that would only allow trucks and SUV's to be built that "The fleet of new cars, pickup trucks and SUVs will need to reach 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016, and the government is developing plans for future vehicle models that could push the standards to 47 mpg to 62 mpg by 2025."
Of course this is technically impossible--look at the giant trucks on the road--62 mph? LOL They now get 6-7 miles per gallon.
4. All-electric claims for Chevy Volt fire up GM's critics, Michael Hiltzik, LA Times 10/24/10
Government lies and families dies. Obama stole General Motors from the owners, took 61% of it for themselves and the rest to the GM killers, the unions.
Now we know that the owners of Government Motors, the government, can lie with the best of them. Would you buy a car for $41,000 (actually $7500 less--the poor taxpayers will pay $7500 as a gift to you) for a car that might go 25-37 miles on a charge, take 4-10 hours to recharge and get possibly 40 miles to the gallon on the gasoline. This when you could buy a Prius for about $26,000 get 50 mpg and not have to wait hours for recharging?
Looks like Obama is really related to P.T. Barnum.
5. U.S. sells debt with a negative yield for 1st time, Reuters, 10/25/10
How bad is the debt of the U.S. Government? "The U.S. Treasury Department on Monday sold securities that fetched a negative yield for the first time, implying investors are willing to pay the government to own its debt."
Since San Fran Nan has been Speaker, the deficit has grown by $5 trillion. Obama has grown it, as President, by $3 billion and planning on another $5.6 trillion of deficits. For the negative coupons on Treasury bonds to succeed, we need massive inflation--and investors believe that is where we are headed.
This is the next step toward the American Great Depression.
