We already know that our Community Colleges are important--but what we did not know is that most of the students that enter, 70%, never get a degree or more on to a four year school.
"According to a new study, most of California's community college students never get a degree. In fact, researchers found 70% of the students seeking degrees failed to graduate or transfer to universities within six years.
“It is something that we recognize and we’re working to improve it at the local level and the state level,” said the Dean of Enrollment at Shasta College, Kevin O’Rorke."
California government schools,K-12, have a 40% drop out rate and our community colleges a 70% drop out rate.
