President Obama said that the passage of his health care plan would stop the rise of insurance premiums. Here is the reality.
"The states largest insurer has been approved to raise health premium rates by 41 percent to 47 percent for some of its policies sold to individual buyers, in the largest price hikes yet seen in Connecticut since the adoption of national health care reform.
For all of its individual market plans, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has received approval to raise rates by at least 19 percent including a range of 30 percent to 44 percent for the brand of plans in the individual market that was most popular in 2009, Century Preferred.
The reason for the increases is the new federal health reform mandates, according to Anthem and the state Department of Insurance, which is defending its approval against charges by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. Those reforms took effect Sept. 23."
The Chosen One promised FREE procedures, medicine and prevention actions. No one questioned, except the Republicans and the American people, who will pay for the free services.
Now we know. Those who pay for insurance have been charged for the "free" services. The results?
With costs going up many in Connecticut will no longer afford health care coverage and will drop it--putting more on the public dole. When Obama said you will be able to afford his program, he lied.
When Obama said you can keep your plan is you like it, he lied.
When Obama said you can keep your doctor, he lied.
When Obama said there will be no death panels (which are NOW operating), he lied.
Now the people of Connecticut and the 49 other States are paying for the lies of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Democrat Party.
