LAUSD created "the dance of the lemons", the moving of failed teachers from one school to another. Now LAUSD has been sued because it uses a union plan for laying off teachers--basing it on seniority, not quality. Thanks to the unions, bad teacher are kept and good teachers fired--now you know why government schools are failures--they are owned by extortionist union.
Extortionist? Name a single union that would survive if it did not have the government given power to force people to pay dues (bribes) in order to work.
"In February, the group accused the Los Angeles Unified School District of violating the constitutional rights of students to a fair and equal education by imposing massive teacher layoffs and budget cuts at schools that were already struggling. Tuesday's agreement effectively ended layoffs at up to 45 schools in high-poverty areas, leading some observers to tout the agreement as groundbreaking.
But union president A.J. Duffy said in published reports that the union was shut out of talks over the settlement. Duffy say his group may act to block the settlement over worries that the agreement could spawn "unintended consequences" at schools, including prompting schools to stock their teaching staffs with a disproportionate number of young, inexperienced teachers."
What I do not understand is why civil rights groups don't picket the union? Why government gives allows such corruption? Why our students are held hostage in failed schools and them ACLU does not sue the unions?
Until the teachers end this corruption by striking till the unions are no longer allowed to steal from paychecks, schools will be failures.
