The Feds want to clean up Hollywood, Pacoima and Boyle Heights, all in the City of Los Angeles.
One commonality: Pacoima and Boyle Heights probably have a majority of residents who are illegal aliens.
"The U.S. Department of Education has awarded half-million dollar planning grants to two Los Angeles nonprofits and to California State University, East Bay in Hayward to replicate a much publicized effort to improve the lives and school achievement of children in Harlem.
President Obama’s $10 million Promise Neighborhood grants went to 21 groups out of 300 that applied nationwide. The three California grantees will be eligible for $10 million to $20 million each next year to implement their plans, assuming Congress approves Obama’s $210 million budget request.
The model for the Promise Neighborhoods initiative is the Harlem Childrens Zone, an ambitious program started by social entrepreneur Geoffrey Canada that encompasses the comprehensive needs of children in an impoverished 97-block of upper Manhattan.
The three California recipients are Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission, which will concentrate on 30-blocks in the Boyle Heights area in Los Angeles; Los Angeles-based Youth Policy Institute, which will have projects in Pacoima and in Hollywood; and California State University, East Bay, which will coordinate a project in a low-income section of Hayward.
Nice sounding idea--for law breaking--claim your are spending money to "clean up" and area, while at the same time protecting the criminals and drug dealers who are illegal aliens.
This is not clean up money, this is a slush fund, an open one at that. The money will be used by the politically connected and special interests. In the end, these areas will continue to be a haven for crime, but the hustlers who steal tax dollars will be able to buy more bling and fancy cars.
This is why we need a regime change on November 2, before all of all resources are stolen by the crooks, special interests and government
