How do you up the college completion rate? It is simple.
Allow students in grade K-12 receive a quality education, based on their needs, not those of unions and special interests. Give each child a voucher and you will see immediate massive improvements in learning and test scores.
"How, then, can we better serve the growing numbers of students entering Californias community colleges who are not prepared for college-level work so that we can increase college completion in the state? Should under prepared students be required to take remedial coursework right away, or at all? What courses should they be allowed to take before they have completed remedial work? These are complex questions, and its critical to get the answers right."
Why are kids getting government high school diplomas yet still need remedial classes in college? That is a failure of the union owned and run schools.
Stop the failure and open schools to competition.
