PLEASE PASS THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS--LET THEM KNOW MORE ABOUT POLITICS AND PUBLIC POLICY THE FORMER MAINSTREAM MEDIA WON'T TELL. THANKS.

    1. A Stimulus Project Gets All Caulked Up, Wall Street Journal, 9/21/10

Federal "stimulus" regulations kill job growth. Here is one example, from Michigan.

"But on the same day in March 2009 that Shenetta Coleman picked up applications from 46 companies, she received an email from the Michigan Department of Human Services telling her she couldn't award work to anyone.

The problem: Ms. Coleman hadn't met requirements for her advertisement. Those included specifying the precise wages that contractors would have to pay, and posting the advertisement on a specific website. There were other rulesfederal, state and localfor grant and contract-award processes, historic preservation and labor standards."

The stimulus was a publicity stunt for the purpose of the Feds taking over local regulations on wages, work conditions and zoning. Maybe a GOP Congress will get the money back for the taxpayers, and take it from the unions and special interests?

    2. Recession May Be Over, but Joblessness Remains, By CATHERINE RAMPELL, NY Times, 9/21/10 Even the Seinfeld show would not use this joke, "the recession is over". Unemployment is higher this September than last September. There are more home foreclosures this month than last year.. The deficit is higher this year, than last. Every economic indicator is worse today than 365 days ago. Except the Stock Market. Sill to claim the recession ended in June, 2009--and not know it for 15 months, shows how silly this claim is.

"Recovery Summer? That is for all the Hollywood elites in rehab, not the American economy or families. Think Lindsay Lohan has recovered? Neither has our economy.

    3. CBO: Unemployment Will Stay Above 8 Percent Until 2012 , CNSNEWS.COM, 9/21/10
Trillions in debt and deficit, but unemployment will stay above 8% for possibly another two years. More Obama policies and unemployment will stay closer to 10% than 8%. Obama wants massive tax increases on January 1, 2011. He has created a trillion dollars of taxes for Obama care, financial institutions are already raising fees for previously free or cheap service--to make up for the compliance costs, the consumer is the loser, but BO feels good about himself.

Government policies and taxes are keeping Americans unemployed, and Barack pretends to be Alfred E. Newman saying, "who me?"

    4. After Long Wait, Environmentalists Look for Victory in Bingaman Energy Standard, Washington Independent, 9/21/10 Great news for Luddites. Senate Democrats have a bill guaranteed to make energy costs go higher, cause the loss of jobs to other nations and make American families poorer.

"A bipartisan coalition of senators today unveiled a proposal that would require a certain percentage of the countrys electricity to come from renewable sources like wind and solar. The announcement revived hopes that the measure could move this year, but it remains unclear if there is enough time or political will in the Senate to pass the legislation this session."

The better news is that this bill, another harming Americans, will assure 2-3 MORE Democrat Congress Members will be lobbyist next year, not raising your taxes. In the middle of a recession, Democrats want to increase the cost of living, based on flawed and fraudulent "scientific" information.

    5. Medical Tourism: Have Insurance Card, Will Travel, National Center for Policy Analysis, 9/22/10

Medical Tourism, saving money by having major procedures in other nations, will save more money than the phoney Obamacare, that rations health care.

"Most Americans are shielded from the full cost of health care and have little or no incentive to compare prices or choose lower cost providers, says Devon Herrick, a senior fellow with the National Center for Policy Analysis.

However, as patients take on a growing portion of their health care costs, medical tourists are going abroad for treatments that can cost up to 80 percent less than at home."

In the future your insurance company could ship you off to India (non union hospitals) to have a hip replacement and a vacation and still save 50% of the cost of the procedure.
Thanks to unions, American hospitals, like most of American industry, is pricing itself out of existence.
