The City of Los Angeles spent $2 million, of Federal money to create ONE job--$111 million for 55 jobs.
Federal money was used to keep government payrolls bloated, not create real jobs.
"Californias jobless rate rose to 12.4 percent last month, the states Employment Development Department reported this past Friday. The Golden States employers shed 33,500 jobs, the third straight month they reduced their payrolls.
The state of Californias labor market actually is much worse than EDD data shows. While the states unemployment rate includes some 2.3 million idle workers, it does not include another 926,000 jobless Californians who are so discouraged they have quit looking for work."
Yet those on the government payroll grew--the private sector constricts and the government sector expands.
That is why California will stay in a Great Depression for a generation.
