  • L.A. and the Politics of Sanctuary Cities

Get mugged or shot in Los Angeles by an illegal alien, and the city of Los Angeles, a sanctuary city, is responsible.

"The aftermath of the fatal shooting of a Guatemalan illegal alien by Los Angeles police officer continues to provide a breathtaking window into the politics of a sanctuary city. The chief of the Los Angeles Police Department is now blaming anti-immigrant sentiment in the U.S. for the rioting that broke out in the wake of the shooting." Worse, the chief of police is blaming honest citizens for the cops shooting an illegal alien.

This is a police chief who forgot he is to protect honest people against criminals, not blame honest people for criminal actions, by criminals.

"In an interview with the Los Angeles Times on Friday, Beck blamed the riots on the fact that the city does not pay sufficient attention to the overwhelmingly illegal population of the impoverished Westlake area and on anti-immigrant sentiment:

This community feels disconnected from the city, he said. They feel like they don't have a voice. I think they feel a lot of pressure because of the anti-immigrant sentiment that runs through a very common conversation in America right now.

They should be disconnected, they are sneaky criminals. They do not belong here, morally, ethically or legally. The police seems more concerned about the criminals he should be arresting than the citizens he must protect.

Another out of control official. It is time for Chief Beck to retire or make official his membership in La Raza.
