Corruption happens in government, in small and large ways. VICA (Valley Industry and Commerce Association) is a San Fernando Valley volunteer organization--claims to run the Valley--though it is no more important than the African Violet Society. Stuart Waldman, head of VICA, is a Democrat hack that tried to buy a seat in the State Assembly, and lost.
"Of course, VICA has no need for outside input, opinions, or commentary. Lee Kanon Alpert was available to give VICA and its executive staff the truth about the Mayor inspired ECAF Fiasco that cost the City millions in extra interest because of the downgrade in its credit rating and the trashing of its reputation in the national and international markets. And obviously there is no need to consider that DWP executives deliberately mislead (lied!) to the City Council."
VICA decided they were more important than those that paid DWP rates. Waldman tried to push higher costs on citizens and homeowners.
Read this carefully. Then look at your city government and see if you have self appointed rulers and a King, trying to decide policy for the community. VICA is a silly organization of big corporations pretending to own government--a business version of unions.
