The Association of California counties has decided legalizing drugs is a bad idea.
Plus, calling fees which are taxes, taxes, is wrong--they want the right to raise taxes by lying about what they are--fees.
"Proposition 26, called The Stop Hidden Taxes Measure, would redefine regulatory fees as taxes for state and local purposes, thereby increasing vote requirements. The initiative also would increase vote requirement for state tax changes that result in higher tax payments for any taxpayer, instead of taxpayers generally. Both the CSAC Government Finance and Operations Committee and Executive Committee had previously recommended an oppose position on Proposition 26."
Governments always want more money. Prop. 26 would stop that--the career Statists can not afford honesty in government--hence opposition to Prop. 26.
If you like drugs and fried brains, vote YES on Prop. 19.
If you think you are too stupid to spend your own money, vote NO on Prop. 26. But if you think government is our of control and corrupt--vote YES on 26.
It is your money, you deserve to spend or save it.
