Obamacare and its death panels seem to have advocates in San Joaquin County.
"Having a heart attack? Drowning in your pool? Can't breathe because of an asthma attack?
Better not be in Stockton.
That’s because the county has ordered the city to strip its fire engines of advanced life support equipment and has forbidden the departments 120 paramedics from giving a dying person anything more than basic fist aid, much like what a Boy Scout could offer.
Instead, city residents will have to wait for a private ambulance service that has a contract with the county to show up."
It gets even worse. "He says potentially more devastating to the public are the split calls where Stockton Fire Department personnel may need to break down a door to reach a victim who is unconscious or use the Jaws of Life to remove a victim pinned in a damaged and dangerous vehicle. Ambulance personnel do not have the training or equipment to reach trapped victims and under Mr. Burchs decision fire department paramedics will be expected to stop short of performing those life saving measures."
If you are in Stockton you better stay healthy, the County prefers to control its territory, even if that policy kills YOU.
