Comparatively, the aerospace industry in California is a bright spot--it only lost 5% of workers from 2004-9. Of course in the 1990's it was decimated in California.

Between 2004 and 2008, the aerospace industry added over 5,500 jobs, but then experienced a sharp decline in 2009 with the loss of nearly 14,500 jobs over the previous year. Between 2004 and 2009, the aerospace industry declined only 5 percent compared to 12 percent for the overall manufacturing sector."
The good news ends there. Obama is cutting back on NASA and military spending, especially weapons systems and planes--the mainstays of California.
Thanks to AB 32 and SB 375 you will see a large number of aerospace firms moving their manufacturing to other States. They can not afford to meet the artificial, Al Gore/Arnold standards and stay in business.
If you think the economy is bad now, wait till the highest taxes in the nation, along with environmental laws are fully implemented--the smart business people are already looking to other States, to stay in business.
