  • Imaginary Savings Used to Justify $26-Billion in Spending

The $26 billion Bill to help the States to be passed in Congress next week is not about the economy, it is about protecting union members. "The $26-billion won’t fix the jobs crisis in the private sector, but instead gives job security for public employees, especially teachers and others who are heavily unionized. And it gives states extra money for their Medicaid programs", according to Senator Istook.

Worse, the "cuts" to pay for this will never happen.

"POLITICO reported, [4] The biggest single cut is an $11.9 billion rollback of added food stamp benefits first approved as part of the giant recovery bill last year. But that offset isn’t expected to happen. According to Huffington Post [5], Democrats told HuffPost they will work to prevent the food stamp cuts from ever taking effect.

In fact, the spending occurs now and the cuts will happen in 2014--four years from now. We all know that the money will be returned those "cut" before a dime is lost to the program.

The Democrats will protect enlarged government--even to the point of lying about their intentions to cut food stamps.

Get real, does ANYBODY believe the Democrats will allow a cut to food stamps? This is as corrupt as Madoff, Rezko, Rangel or Waters.
