  • SoCal: Local Government Term Limits All the Rage

In Sacramento the bigwigs have decided that they do not like term limits in the legislature--so they are preparing a "tweak" of the legislative term limits for the June, 2012 ballot.

At the same time, after many years of watching the bigwigs in Sacramento, local government has decided that is what they want, term limits!.

"A stagnant council often results in a stagnant city, and in this economic environment, that is the last thing we need. Group-think leads to collectivism, and collectivism tends not to lead to new ideas, nor does it support the principles of a limited government that is supposed to serve the people, and partner with the business environment.”

If you have people on the city council or school board more than eight years, they need to go. Elected officials burn out, get bored, some get corrupt, many become lazy and listen to staff, instead of the facts and the voters.

Every office should have term limits--strictly adhered to and observed. End the career politician.
