This is what an East Palo Alto cop suggested, and he is still on the payroll.
"Detective Tuason made his controversial Facebook comments in February while responding to a friend's remark about open carry advocates. In one post, he joked that the advocates would get robbed if they tried to carry a gun in plain sight in East Palo Alto.
Then he suggested that officers who spot a person carrying a gun openly "should've pulled the AR (assault rifle) out and prone them all out! And if one of them makes a furtive movement ... 2 weeks off!!!"
At a minimum he is a mental case, a lawsuit waiting to happen. if he were involved in a shooting, the only question is whether the judgment against the city will be in the hundreds of thousands or millions.
This is why folks distrust law enforcement--wonder how many others like him are on the East Palo Alto police force? This is a town to avoid--too dangerous, not the crooks, but the cops.
