  • 3 Bell leaders to quit in pay scandal--with $50 Million in Pensions

The power of the press and vocal citizens defeat immoral appointed officials.

"Bell's top administrators, whose hefty salaries have stirred public outrage and calls for investigations, agreed to resign Thursday night during a closed-door City Hall meeting.

City Manager Robert Rizzo, Police Chief Randy Adams and Assistant City Manager Angela Spaccia will not receive severance packages. Rizzo will step down at the end of August and Spaccia will leave at the end of September. Adams will also leave at the end of August, after completing an evaluation of the Police Department."

They have agreed to ending their reign of ripping off the taxpayers with no severance package, from the city. But State taxpayers will be ripped off big time. The "retired" city manager will start receiving a CalPers pension of over $884,000 per YEAR immediately, according to KTLA-Tv (Los Angeles). The other two will also be receiving several hundred thousands from CalPers in pensions. Over a lifetime the three will receive around $50 million in pensions. As an idea--the city manager, at age 83 will receive $1.47 million that year--per KTLA.

Honesty is a day to day thing, corruption lasts a lifetime and there is nothing we can do
