  • Kate Smith Introduces G-d Bless America

Times are tough. Our leadership does not fear being caught in lies. We are in the midst of the worse economic conditions since the 1930's--both nationally and in California.

Every day the California Political News and Views presents the sad stories of corruption, totalitarianism and socialism.

Just today we found out that President Obama called the non participation "fines" NOT a tax when promoting Obamacare, his own Justice Department in a Court briefing, now, admits this is a tax--on those earning much less than $250,000.

The Constitution has become a guideline, instead of the Rule of Law, to those running Congress and the White House (even some Supreme Court Justices).

At times like this I need to be reminded, that unlike many of our bureaucrats and elected officials, most Americans are law abiding, community oriented, proud of their home nation.

That is when I want to see the first time Kate Smith sang "G-d Bless America".

What is amazing, though this was done in the 1930's--it has the look and feel of a YouTube video.

See this wonderful statement of what America is about sung for the first time by Kate Smith, one of the great singers of our nations' history.

Note that at the end of this short video--which includes the actual opening lines of the song, lines never sung in public these days--you will see George Murphy and a very young Ronald Reagan
