  • Are sports stars shunning California because of taxes?

Here is something to think about:

"Tiger Woods has a bad reputation because of his recent scandal. But I remember a decade ago when he left Orange County, where he grew up, numerous stories said he wanted to avoid Californias taxes for Floridas relatively light levies. According to Forbes, Woods earned $105 million last year from endorsements, meaning he saved about $10 million by not living in California."

Tiger may be dumb with women, but smart with the buck. He saved $10 million last year--money HE could spend, not have Sacramento waste.

We should be happy that Kobe is willing to pay a tax penalty to play for the LA Lakers. Obviously, with his background, he is not smart with women or money. But, what a shooter!

Are wealthy people leaving California? High taxes do not help our economy or fiscal health. Time for regime change in Sacramento, don't you think?
