  • Farming for Food to End in Tulare? Solar Farms Instead?

Thanks to the courts water is in very short supply in the Central Valley. Farms are going fallow. Farmers are losing money and the environmentalists are going for more.

"Erika Charette is ready to make a change on her 40-acre farm southeast of Visalia.

Nearly half of her farm is covered with lush, green walnut trees while the other half is mostly barren, overgrown with brush and dead trees.

She can afford neither to clear the land nor plant a new crop.

What she might do is allow her land to become a solar farm."

If this is what she wanted, then good. But, since it was the actions of courts that created 20 acres of barren land, it is not a good idea.

The good news is that the Central Valley will become the solar farm of America. The bad news is that the cost of food is going to skyrocket.

California and America is in trouble. We need to take our State and country back.
