  • Why the Influx of Illegal aliens? No punishment

The Federal government has made it clear--we have Open Borders and drug smugglers, criminals, terrorists, are free to enter our nation--without punishment.

"It's illegal to enter the United States without permission. At least technically.

Improper entry by an immigrant is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to six months in prison. A second offense is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison.

But in practice, it's treated much less seriously.

"We basically do not prosecute that offense," said Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles. "Essentially, if you're an illegal alien and you come across the border and we find you, we almost never do anything."

Mrozek represents Attorney General Holder, Homeland Secretary Napolitano and President Obama.

Could there be a clearer message to the criminals (all illegal aliens are criminals)--come on down, you have won the lottery.

But, President Bush should also be reprimanded for this corruption. "Indeed, in 2008, the most recent year for which information is available, the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Central District of California - which includes San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties - didn't prosecute a single person for simple illegal entry."

Shame on us for allowing this. We are in fiscal trouble, we are in criminal trouble, and we are in security trouble, because the Federal government prefers that.
