Assembly Speaker John Perez said he would not negotiate with the Governor on the budget, unless Arnold gave in. That is a Democrat version of "negotiations"
Then the Assembly and Senate Democrats told their members to go home and show up in Sacramento on August 1.
Now the Democrat Senate Leader Steinberg has told the Senators they can go anywhere they want, as long as they can return to Sacramento in 24 hours.
The Assembly is gone till August 1--as if they really matter.
The reality is that we have a $0 billion deficit--and start the new year with a $20 billion deficit. In the past six years we have had a total of $140 billions in deficits, only three States have worse credit ratings than ours and cities and counties are cutting back--one Maywood, is literally closing down.
Does not matter who is in Sacramento, unless it is a Governor willing to "blow up the boxes", act like Governor Christie of New Jersey and the Democrats throw off the shackles of the unions.
Until then, close the State until sanity replaces the attitude of bankruptcy. Wonder if Christie would agree to a side job?
