Will Arnold make the cost of eggs to Californians as high as the cost of caviar--so that only the rich can have an omelet?
Will Arnold try to tell Utah how chickens can live?
"A bill on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk would extend California's upcoming ban on cramped conditions for egg-laying hens to millions of out-of-state chickens.
The legislation emerged last year, soon after California voters overwhelmingly approved Prop. 2 in November 2008. The initiative, starting in 2015, requires more room for hens and other farm animals."
If he approves the bill, then in 2015 the cost of eggs will go up in California--because the other States will tell us to go to hell, and our State will have closed down the egg industry--except for the few who will sell the eggs, not for $1.19 a dozen, the price I paid yesterday at Henry’s, but $1.19 EACH--we will have priced ourselves out of eggs--which also means we have priced ourselves out of cakes, breads, meat loaf and lots of other dishes.
This is not about the life of a chicken; it is about government controlling our food. Just think of all the dishes that use eggs. Gone. Then again, Arnold is rich, so this will not affect him.
