Now, is there anybody in favor of cancer? Of course not.
So, isn't it the role of government to stop this dread disease? Of course.
So, what is another one dollar tax on the sale of a pack of cigarettes?
I have a better idea--how about a $2 tax on every marijuana joint sold in the State of California, to go to research on drug addiction?
Maybe it should be $5 dollars per joint--what do you think?
We all know the money raised will go toward anything the State wants, not just cancer research. Water bond money from 2006 went to aquariums and the building of motels. Transportation money has gone toward the firing of Hispanic truck drivers in the LA and Long Beach ports, and forcing them to pay bribes to unions, and being hired by big corporations running transportation systems.
This is not about cancer research; it is about using an important concern of the people to steal more money from the people.
Sick, sick, sick.
