  • California Loses Another 2,000 UNION Jobs

Did Toyota need to build cars in the United States? Yes.

Did they need to build in high tax, silly regulations meant to kill jobs--AB 32 for instance, union controlled California? NO.

So, they close a unionized plant in Fremont, California.

And open a plant, with the creation of non union 2,000 jobs in Blue Springs, Mississippi. This, plus the new jobs caused by the non unions vendors, probably the other 3,000 lost in Fremont.

Scorecard: California -5,000 jobs. Mississippi +5,000 jobs. Unions-5,000 bribe paying members

Plus, this: "Being able to open this plant in a little over a year will help Toyota, Handler said." Does anybody believe a full scale; working car manufacturing plant could be built in a year in California? It would take years. California is NOT the place to create jobs--just ask Toyota.

Bottom line: High taxes, AB 32 and unions a deadly combination for jobs in California. Oh, California unemployment is 12.7%--Mississippi has 10.7% unemployment--and thanks to Arnold and the Sacramento Democrats, we are working hard at lowering the unemployment rate, in Mississippi.
