Bonds are NOT meant to fix our schools, but to make the unions and special interests richer.
"The Mt. Diablo school district's Measure C bond campaign reported receiving $204,500 through May 26, according to documents filed with the Contra Costa County elections department.
The money helped pay for mailers, campaign consultants and pollsters, whose survey results have not been released to the public.
Big supporters included contractors, unions, lawyers, architects and bond underwriters, who could arguably benefit from construction contracts if the measure passes. The campaign received smaller contributions from educators and school parent groups."
We need a law saying that anyone who donates to a bond campaign can not receive any contracts or work if the bond passes. Pass that and these wasteful bonds will be stopped.
Corruption has many faces; one of them is the donor community for bonds.
