Finally the voters are willing to say NO to unions.
"Although ballots remain to be counted, the Vallejo police union head Friday all but conceded victory for the controversial measure to remove binding arbitration from the city's charter.
Measure A, as of Friday's nearly completed ballot count, continued to hold a narrow but consistent lead, 8,785 to 8,353 -- a 432-vote margin."
Vallejo is the largely Democrat town, run and owned by unions, forced to file for bankruptcy. Now the people are going directly to the source of the problem--unions.
The next step is for the voters to pass laws mandating freedom for its government workers--no bribing of organized crime in order to work. Make volunteer associations rather than mandated unions.
Vallejo residents should be applauded for starting the process of returning honesty to government.
