Kevin Johnson is a former NBA star, a Mayor and a noted and admit crook.
"Kevin Johnson is a former NBA star, the mayor of Sacramento, California, and a friend and political ally of Barack and Michelle Obama. He also misused hundreds of thousands of federal dollars at a non-profit educational organization he founded called St. HOPE.
In 2004, St. HOPE received a three-year grant from AmeriCorps totaling $847,673. The money was to help St. HOPE revitalize inner-city communities through public education, civic leadership, economic development and the arts, according to the groups mission statement. But in 2008, the inspector general of AmeriCorps found that Johnson used large portions of the grant for, among other things, driving [Johnson] to personal appointments, washing his car, and running personal errands.
Did I mention he is a Democrat and a friend of Barack Obama--or is that redundant and understood?
Yet, stealing money from the taxpayers does not disqualify him from office or speaking to the group. I have a better speech for him to him, "Stealing is a prerequisite to speaking to a government agency".
Makes you proud of the voters of Sacramento, doesn't it?
