Let me define "political pals"--in common language, that is the unions.
"Fresno County's rocky finances have taken another blow with the announcement that the county pension plan will need a cash infusion of $34 million. That means the cost of Fresno County's overly generous pension plan is expected to double over a four-year period.
While the county's financial problems in other areas can be blamed on the economic slump, the pension problem is a self-inflicted wound by various members of the Board of Supervisors and other county officials. County leaders should have been calculating the long-term costs of the pension program when they were handing out goodies to their political pals."
This is another example of unions killing government, and harming honest people.
