Prop. 14 will guarantee more costly and negative partisan elections. It also makes it easier for the rich, the celebrity and those owned by special interests to win elective office.
It also makes sure that middle-class, community leaders can not hold office.
Worse, it openly promotes lower voter turnout. Democrats in Republican districts, Democrats in Republican districts, and all those who oppose both the Republican and Democrat parties are disenfranchised--they will never be allowed on a general election--November--ballot.
That is how totalitarian nations work--thanks to the Governor, the Democrats and Abel Maldonado, free elections can be ended in California if Prop.14 passes and upheld by the courts.
