The Governor lied about the budget deficit. He claims it is "only" $20 billion.
Note he has left off the balance sheet the $7 billion we have borrowed from Washington to pay for payments to our unemployed.
Plus, he has left out the over $6 billion in lawsuits he has lost. Then there is the $3 billion he has not received from the sale of State assets.
That alone is $37 billion--and does not include the added unfunded pension and health care liabilities--or the $3 billion NOT received from the Feds.
If the Governor were to be truthfully, he would announce that the deficit, under his leadership for this past year,, is north of $40 billion.
But, do you expect him to tell the truth? Now you know why we can not afford a third term of Arnold (or Jerry). This is why California will be in a Depression for a full generation.
