The former Democrat Speaker of the Assembly, now an LA City Council member, Herb Wesson wants to add $50 million to the treasury of Los Angeles--by taking $50 million from the pockets of business.
Of course, that would mean $50 million less to hire employees in the private sector--but $50 million more to hire government workers.
Did you know that 25%of those employed in Greece work for the government? Los Angeles wants to be another Greece.
Democrats LOVE taxes--here are the words of Democrat Wesson: ""Throughout the budget, there is a need to be more creative in identifying additional revenue sources that will shore up the city's finances, as well as gain voter approval," wrote Wesson, who represents portions of Koreatown and South Los Angeles.".
His words, "there is a need to be more creative in identifying additional revenue sources", how about being creative in cutting spending instead?
