  • Judge rejects bid to omit Prop. 16 from ballot

Government is a monopoly. It hates competition. In California, government loves to run utilities, like the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power--possibly the most inept and corrupt government agency in the State.

"Prop. 16 would force California cities and counties to get the approval of two-thirds of their voters before starting a public power agency. In March, San Francisco, joined by several cities and public utilities, sued to remove the initiative from the ballot, arguing that its text was misleading.

City officials argued that the text did not state the measure's true purpose - protecting PG&E from future competition. PG&E is the measure's sole financial sponsor.

But Wednesday, Judge Allen Sumner issued a tentative decision saying that the text accurately described the initiative."

Without the passage of Prop. 16 government will be able to steal private firms, without a vote of the people, and use tax dollars and bond money, meant for basic services, to take over these firms.

Corruption has many faces--this is just one--the governments in California seem to be looking toward Hugo Chavez instead of Milton Friedman.

Obviously government has enough money if it can still want to steal. Vote NO on all tax increases, bonds and parcel taxes. Squeeze government, not families.
