At first, the High Speed Rail was going to cost $20 billion and go everywhere in California in a blink of the eye.
Now, it is admitted that the cost is north of $60 billion (actually closer to $200 billion), few will ride it, the cost of rider ship has doubled--it is years away from rolling. Oh, it will also be an environmental disaster, dividing communities--and will go almost no where.
This is meant to give jobs to corrupt unions and the special interest contractors who will build it. Worse, it looks like Siemens will build the trains--so the profits from this corruption will go to Germany.
Can it get any worse? Of course it will. Now even dead tree factories are admitting this is a bad deal.
