Utah and Texas are in the process of passing Arizona type illegal aliens legislation. Up to a dozen more States will do the same by the end of 2011.
In the face of this, Democrat Darryl Steinberg wants to violate contracts and boycott Arizona. Given enough time time, Steinberg could have California boycott half the nation.
"In another swipe at Arizona and its strict new anti-immigration rules, California Senate leader Darrell Steinberg on Tuesday asked Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to "deliver an unequivocal message" of disgust by tearing up the state's contracts with Arizona businesses and government agencies."
The United States has trade wars with China, France and the rest of the world. Now the Democrats want to start a trade war with other States.
Steinberg needs to be reminded that trade wars go both ways--no tourism or business with Texas or Arizona, and those folks will not come here.
Maybe he forgot, we have a deficit of $39 billion--this is not a good time to kill off jobs and businesses--especially when it is over illegal aliens, criminals who violate our Federal laws, and break our State laws every day.
Nice political headline, but harmful to our State and people.
