  • SF Chronicle: Circulation DOWN 22% in a year

In the past year, the San Francisco Chronicle has lost 22% of its paid circulation--in one year it lost a fifth of its circulation.

The Los Angeles Times has lost 14.7% of its circulation in a year.

Is this because the Tea Party people want to pay for facts, not propaganda?

is this because the Times and Chronicle are not in the tank enough for the SEIU/ACORN folks?

Is it because people can go to the Internet, cable TV, talk radio and alternative sources for analysis, not press releases?

The numbers come from the authoritative Advertising Age. Click on "read more" to see the full story.

Bottom line, the dead tree media is losing to the electron media.

Who do you trust more, your local paper, like the Times, Chron, Bee or an established radio talk show host, Fox News or your favorite blogger?

The media is changing and the numbers show it.
