So, far the illegal actions of the Governor have cost the State north of $6 billion in lost law suits. Now the courts have told the Governor that they work for the people, not him.
"The state Supreme Court rejected Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's request Thursday to bypass lower courts and decide the legality of his orders that required 200,000 state employees to take three days off without pay each month.
The court's order leaves seven cases in appellate courts in San Francisco and Sacramento, and nearly 20 more in trial courts in four counties. A final decision on the governor's authority to furlough state workers, and on the workers' possible entitlement to billions in back pay and interest, is unlikely before Schwarzenegger leaves office in January."
The countdown is on, eight months to go before Arnold goes. Financially, can we last?
