San Juan Capistrano has a few hundred "teachers" who prefer a good old fashion strike to education.
Looks to me every one of these folks have volunteered to be laid off. There are plenty of teachers who want to teach children instead of being fodder for unions.
"Attendance in the 51,000-pupil district was down substantially, with about 39% of students in class, according to preliminary estimates. About 220 regular classroom teachers 12% of the teaching force - crossed picket lines and 600 substitutes were hired to provide additional classroom supervision, said Julie Hatchel, a district spokeswoman."
The union is clear. We can not win at the negotiating table, so we will harm the children. I would start proceeding immediately to take the credentials away from these folks. All have shown a lack of maturity, integrity and ethics.
We should congratulate the school board for standing tough against unions that harm our children. This union should be decertified. Further negotiations hurt our kids and you are ignored.
