Ron Dellums, the close friend of Fidel Castro, is the Mayor of Oakland--a city that is bankrupt.
But, he decided that money meant for cops and roads should be spent to elect corrupt politicans.
"Dellums' vote followed a 4-4 City Council deadlock March 16 on a proposal by Councilmember Jean Quan and City Council President Jane Brunner to split the $200,000 set aside for public campaign financing 50-50, leaving $100,000 to help pay for council campaigns, while using the other $100,000 for education on the city's new election system."
Obviously Oakland does not need higher taxes or a bailout.
