Every seat taken by someone from Texas or Vermont, is a seat not taken by a Californian. Currently we have 11,000 Californians on a wait list for our colleges. The number of out of staters-accepted for our colleges?

Yet you and I pay for these government schools, we are taxed, fee'd and squeezed by California government. Now our children are penalized for being Californians.
"For the first time, UC Berkeley has doubled the number of admission offers to out-of-state and international students while cutting spaces for California residents.
Saying the state did not provide enough money to support California students, the university dropped the number of in-state offers by 15 percent from 11,184 for the current school year to 9,459 for next fall's freshman class, according to data released Wednesday by UC."
The claim is that out of staters pay more than in state students--not taken into consideration are the tax dollars the parents of California students pay.
