My good friend Jon Fleischman is a solid voice for responsible government.
Recently he sat down with Reason.TV for an interview. You will note that much that he says he writes daily on the FlashReport--and you read on the California Political News and Views on a regular basis.
Jon does makes some important points:
1. The GOP has a responsibility in the economic crisis we are now facing.
2. The Governor did not put into action the promises of cutting back government that he made as a candidate in the Recall of 2003.
3. That every dime counts--we can not afford the self serving union contracts and we can not afford the creation of the "Blueberry Commission".
The bottom line from Jon, government needs to serve the people, the people should not be serving government. To do this we need to return to the original functions of government.
This is an important nine minute video--please take a few minutes to see it--then pass it on to your friends. Jon is very articulate in recognizing the problems of government and the solutions to bring us back to solvency and sanity.
