What a surprise--a judge has ruled that initiative petitions need real signatures to be valid.
"The decision of San Mateo County Superior Court Judge George Miram, signed April 2, came about six weeks after Michael Ni sued to force the county to accept his digital signature, which he captured using an iPhone and software developed by the Verafirma startup company he co-founded.
In denying the request, Miram concluded that Ni "did not substantially comply with the requirements" of the elections code, including sections that require a one-inch margin on initiative petitions and that a voter "personally affix" a signature to a petition."
Thanks to ACORN, the SEIU and the other friends of Obama, we already have lots of fraud in the voter registration system--which then becomes fraud in absentee ballots and voting booth voting.
At least this is one area we do not make it easier to corrupt the system. Make ACORN work hard to steal the integrity of our electoral process.
