Democrats just love taxes--breath and there is a tax. I a being serious, some Democrats want to tax your production of carbon.
In this case, buy a battery for a toy and pay a tax. "Consumers may soon get an extra charge for buying batteries in California as a part of an effort to get people to recycle batteries.
One estimate shows 500 million batteries are sold each year in California with most ending up in landfills, and less than one percent are recycled."
In reality, this will not stop batteries going into landfills--it does add money to the corrupt and incompetent in Sacramento.
