  • Parents rebel over LAUSD's effort to Hold Students Hostage in Failed Government Schoo

Thanks to LAUSD, productive families are about to leave the city. "Faced with the possibility that a strict new Los Angeles school district policy will force her daughter to attend Westchester High next year, Lynda Mitsakos has been shopping for homes in pricey Manhattan Beach.

That's because she wants her child to stay at the beach city's Mira Costa High, a well-regarded campus where she can take Latin and compete on the Division II swim team. Those options are not available at lower-achieving Westchester."

This parent does not like the union owned LAUSD holding her child hostage to failed government schools in LA.

    Why is LAUSD doing this?

"No longer, said Cortines, as he faced down a $640 million budget gap and enrollment that's fallen more than 17 percent since 2004.

Cortines reported back that he would restrict permits to "senior status" students - rising fifth-, eighth- and 12th-graders - and to children of parents who work within other districts' boundaries."

The owned controlled district wants tax dollars--not interested at all in quality education. Note they never say they provide quality education. They never say they provide better education, they only say they want money.

Hostages are held ransom for money--how much will it cost the parents to free their children from the criminals running LAUSD?
