  • Don Kurth: "Obama good thing for country"

Don Kurth, Republican candidate for Assembly in the 63rd AD said this, "Both (Don Kurth and his wife) agreed that Obama was a good thing for the country, even though Kurth helped lead John McCain's health care coalition in California and she was among the several people arrested in a war protest in Hollywood when the U.S. initially occupied Iraq.

"Obama manifests the hopes and dreams of the future," Kurth said. "We all want the best for our country." This was said just before the inauguration of Obama as President. Republican Don Kurth went to Washington to see the event.

The question is, was Don Kurth taken in by Barack Obama, is Kurth that naive or does he still believe his words?

Either way, these are not the words of a conservative. Either way, we need to know more about this potential Abel Maldonado. As a candidate for the GOP nomination for Assembly, these are strange words.

Would you trust a Republican who said, "Both (Don Kurth and his wife) agreed that Obama was a good thing for the country,"? This is why we need to be carefully in primaries.

In the past I have written about his votes, several times, to increase taxes for the people of Rancho Cucamonga, his marijuana views and other items. After re-reading them, his Obama statement makes more sense.
