The students at Sonoma State University, cursed with an incompetent and corrupt Administration and CSU system, have found the ultimate answer to the problem.
"Over the course of a few hours, on a Friday when the university was officially closed due to state budget cuts, the students spread across a lush lawn, pulled out books and laptops, and dived into studying.
It was a low key and deliberate action to use a favorite activists term that turned on its head the idea of recent student protests against state education cuts.
Rather than yelling or shouting, I feel its more productive to show up on one of the days that our school has taken away from us, said Devin McBrayer, an 18-year-old Sonoma State University freshman who organized the event and titled it Class in the Grass.
We want to show that we want to be taken seriously and that we take our education seriously, she said."
